The poster I have created envisions the word “leap”. The theme of the festival being “leap”, I thought of the idea of “leaping into the arts”. This festival will present the multiple fields of culture, therefore it is an opportunity to discover a new world, and that world is art!

Art is vast. As is unique. Art is multidimensional. I decided to include multiple black and white patterns to symbolize art’s diversity and its multiple facets.

I represented the multiple programs in the Art, Literature and Communication program with the elements at the top of the poster. The colour palette chosen for this poster consists of black, white and a touch of colour. The movement of leaping is represented with the curve of the lettering.

 

The central element represents the door you will open when discovering the festival: the door to a new world.

​

To include a musical element, I decided to include a quote from the one and only Freddie Mercury. The poster, as a whole, represents creativity and discovery.
